Opened on January 5, 2007, the 345
Km-long rail system has become an

Taxis on the north side of the
arrival area of Terminal 1 and the
south side of the arrival area of
Terminal 2 of Taoyuan International
Airport are certified by the Airport
Police Bureau and provide first-rate
taxi services.
Taxis are available 24 hours a day.
Kaohsiung Metro

The system operates according to a
spoke-hub distribution paradigm,
with 3 lines running radically
outward from central Kaohsiung. The
metro system operates from 6 am to
midnight daily. Clean and
air-conditioned trains arrive every
five minutes. A “Single-journey
Ticket” costs between NT$20 to NT$60
depends on distance. Smoking,
eating, drinking or gum chewing are
strictly prohibited on all MRT
trains.
